Accomodation
For the duration of the event, you are sleeping in your own tent at a camp that you have chosen. The tent should have a mediaval ambience. In case this is not possible for you, you can always disguise the looks of a modern tent with white bedsheeds or else. In case you need some advice, please do not hesitate to ask older players in the forum. There too you can ask in case you dont have any tent. Some player offer sleeping places in their tents.
Please note that we assign each participant a maximum of 15 qm tent area. The total area and space of a ward is calculated from these numbers. The allocation of the campsite is based on the registration for a banner, a ward and a group. This will be possible from spring 2020.
If you do not register for a special ward, we will automatically allocate you to a ward.
During the event, you can find in many places of the premises toilet and shower containers that get cleaned every day by special personal. Additionally, there are extra rows of Porta-Johns everywhere, so that you'll never have to walk far. Please keep always in mind that you will have to bring your own toilet paper - this will not be provided.
Parking
There are designated parking areas where you can leave your car during the event. There will be no parking fees and you can of course always get your car to go shopping etc.
Driving on the event-site and the parking lot is at your own risk. The event parking area is not guarded.
Parking outside of designated parking areas is prohibited. Any vehicle illegally parked will be towed away at the owner's expense
The Johanniter paramedics team is (as always) on site 24/7. Please don't hesitate to ask them for help - even if it's something "small" like a wasps sting. If you have or witness an emergency please immediately contact a GM. They will radio the paramedics to get them to you as quickly as possible. We have several MICUs (rescue vans) on site at all time.
If you ever wondered why there have to be such broad roads through all Banners - it's because of the MICUs which need to be able to reach every Ward as fast as possible.
Please note that if you had to be taken to the hospital you have to get back on site on your own. If you wish to be taken to the hospital for only minor injuries you also have to pay for this yourself. Contact number of local cabs or taxis are available at your Banners GM tent.
At special spots along the street and borders of the grounds of the game you can find big waste containers where you can deposit your waste at any time.
Please notice: Throw it in and do not place it just before the container, thanks.
Any animal you want to bring with you has to be registered at the event bureau in advance.
Dogs: During the event only with muzzle and dogleash at ANY TIME. Size and age of the dog does not matter and there are no exceptions made.
Every dog needs a "Dog-Ticket" (10,- Euro)
Poisonous Pets like Snakes, Spiders or else are not allowed on the Event. Not even with a proper cage.
It can happen that things get lost or stolen. We ask you to keep valuable things either always with you or to stow them away safely, for example in your car. Please take special care of your purse, your keys and other valuables.
There is "ingame thievery" allowed by the rules of the game, but this is limited only to In-Game currencies and items that have relevance for solving the plot.
Everything else is property of a player and may not be taken, as well it is forbidden to enter another persons tent without the owner's OK. In case you witness theft or vandalism - please report this instantly to the next GM. If such things happen to you, we can help you make a report to the police.
The area covers about 250 acres (100 ha / 0,4 sqaremiles) and has been the property of the Niemeyer family for over 400 years. Although it's almost perfect for LARP it has never before been used until we discovered it for ConQuest a decade ago.
We are glad to have this jewel piece for our event. The wonderful meadows and fields are what really let Mythodea come to life every year in the heart of Germanys Lower Saxony.
